PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets)

What Is PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets)?

Platelet-rich plasma treatment (PRP) is a procedure that promotes biostimulation within the anti-aging treatments. This is a procedure that uses the patient's own blood to activate cell regeneration. Our plasma has small fragments of proteins that are capable of stimulating action of fibroblasts (indispensable cells to maintain the integrity of connective tissue) and the PRP does is draw blood to the patient, centrifuging to separate the platelets from the red blood cells, and then infiltrate these platelets in the area to be treated.

Who Can Have PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets) done?

This treatment is recommended for mature skin as much as for young skin. In the PRP mature skin, it acts as replacement therapy, activating the regeneration of cells for the production of collagen and elastin. PRP acts as a preventive treatment, helping to maintain the proper production of beneficial substances to the skin. In addition, this procedure can help the healing of the skin, removing stains and eliminate acne marks (as long as it is not in an active state). No allergies or intolerances problems as it is of platelets obtained from blood of the patient.

What Results Can I Expect From This Procedure?

This platelet-rich plasma treatment helps reverse the most common signs of aging so that it restores luminosity to the skin. The method of intradermal infiltration of this treatment, right in the area where it is needed, helps the skin to regain its volume and firmness, eliminating wrinkles and sagging. After doing this treatment the patient can see results within three days or so, though, about three months the results will be optimal.

Consultation Process

Our professionals are properly qualified and accredited to perform these types of procedures that require manipulation of biological material, such as plasma treatment. The doctor in the consultation will examine your facial features and advise you about your treatment. The number of sessions and areas where treatment needs are issues to be discussed with your doctor in the office.

Technique and Protocol

This procedure consists of three phases. After the doctor has examined and determined that indeed you are a viable treatment for this patient, proceed to extract the blood (first phase), preferably the forearm. In this first phase the technique is conventional extractions of this type. In a second phase, once the blood is extracted, the doctor will proceed to centrifuge to separate the red blood cells (which remain below) and platelets (which are on the surface of the bottle). The third stage corresponds to the infiltration of these platelets. The doctor will perform microinjections with plasma spin in areas where you want to activate cell regeneration face.

Recovery and Aftercare

It is a simple, outpatient, which does not require hospitalization. The patient can resume daily activities immediately. However, you should not perform a strenuous exercise or apply makeup within 24 hours. The use of a sunscreen to protect the skin is recommended.
